Born to a Japanese mother and an American father in Tokyo’s multicultural community, Amelia developed a global outlook from an early age. She brings a unique blend of expertise, having worked at Wunderman, a leading marketing agency, and IDEO Tokyo, a renowned design and innovation consultancy. At IDEO, Amelia led a range of projects, from redesigning medical devices for the elderly to reimagining agricultural systems, as well as workshops focused on creating more Circular products and services.

Fueled by the belief that sustainability is the most pressing innovation challenge of our time, Amelia now serves as Country Director for Conservation International in Japan. She leverages her skills in storytelling, creative thinking and collaboration to communicate the urgency of the biodiversity and climate crises, and aims to forge partnerships that drive collective action to protect and restore nature on a global scale.
