Sara Kehaulani Goo is the Executive Editor of Axios Live + New Platforms, overseeing the news media company’s industry-leading live journalism portfolio across the U.S. and overseas. She joined Axios in 2019 overseeing national news and served as Axios editor-in-chief for 3 years.

Goo has held leadership roles at several national news organizations, including managing editor NPR and the senior news director at The Washington Post, where she was also a national business and homeland security reporter.

She is the author of the forthcoming book, Kuleana, a story about her Native Hawaiian family’s struggle to hold onto their ancestral land, culture and way of life. (Flatiron Books, June 2025.)
