Tom Kelley is a Partner Emeritus at IDEO, having held leadership roles across the firm for more than thirty years. He is also Chairman and Founder of Tokyo-based venture capital firm, D4V (Design for Ventures), promoting Japanese entrepreneurship and overseeing investments in over 60 promising Japanese tech start-ups. Tom has authored three successful business books including The Art of Innovation and the New York Times bestseller Creative Confidence.

Tom’s deep connection with Japan is marked by more than eighty visits and an appearance on the cover of Forbes Japan alongside his IDEO colleagues. Throughout his career, Tom has been committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders. He was the first Executive Fellow at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and held a similar role at the University of Tokyo.

As a global speaker, he has addressed audiences in over thirty countries, focusing on creativity and human-centered design for innovation.
